Esta es la octava encuesta que State Farm ha llevado a cabo para conocer la opini\u00f3n de los conductores sobre la conducci\u00f3n distra\u00edda. Este a\u00f1o, encontraron que las personas que dijeron que usaban sus tel\u00e9fonos mientras conduc\u00edan ten\u00edan m\u00e1s probabilidades de haber estado en un accidente en comparaci\u00f3n con aquellos que no usaban sus tel\u00e9fonos.<\/p>\n
En la encuesta tambi\u00e9n se pregunt\u00f3 a los conductores qu\u00e9 tipo de actividades realizaban con sus tel\u00e9fonos, como enviar mensajes de texto, navegar por Internet, hacer fotos y grabar v\u00eddeos. Se descubri\u00f3 que el 29% de los conductores acced\u00edan a Internet mientras conduc\u00edan, a pesar de que el 96% pensaba que les distra\u00eda y el 77% que aumentaba la probabilidad de sufrir un accidente. Incluso cuando eran conscientes de lo que les distra\u00eda el tel\u00e9fono, los encuestados segu\u00edan diciendo que lo utilizaban porque necesitaban estar en contacto, buscar informaci\u00f3n en Internet o compartir algo con sus amigos. En otras palabras, les costaba resistirse a utilizar el tel\u00e9fono aunque comprendieran que era peligroso.<\/p>\n
Chris Mullen, Director de Investigaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de State Farm, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que los conductores de hoy en d\u00eda se enfrentan a un n\u00famero cada vez mayor de demandas de atenci\u00f3n, pero que siguen necesitando tomar decisiones seguras cuando est\u00e1n al volante en beneficio de todos.<\/p>\n
Las leyes afectan al comportamiento de los conductores<\/h4>\n
