Woman Dies in Crash Involving Semi Trailer in Kansas City

A 28-year-old woman is dead Thursday after a crash in Kansas City’s Northeast Industrial District.

According to police, the crash happened at about 6:20 a.m. near Municipal Avenue and Chouteau Trafficway.

According to police, a woman driving a Jeep Liberty southbound crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and was hit by a semitrailer.

The 28-year-old driver of the Jeep died at the scene. She has not been publicly identified. The driver of the semi was not injured.
