KANSAS CITY, Mo. — City officials say 19 people have been injured in incidents involving motorized scooters such as Bird and Lime since July.
The city says it performed a review of 100,000 emergency records between July and October 31 and found 19 incidents.
Of the 19 injuries, only one required person required an emergency transport to an area hospital. Even then, the person’s injuries were described as not life-threatening.
An additional 11 people were taken to hospitals for evaluation.
The city said it performed the review after receiving several records requests.
